- 'Second Annual Torres Golf Tourny Plans in Works (La Caņada Valley Sun)
2nd Lt. Andrew Torres, USMC passed away from cancer in April of 2004. His friends, family and members of the La Caņada and Pasadena communities are now working together on the Second Annual Andrew J. Torres golf Classic to be held Monday, April 3.

By Jim Meehan, The Spokesman-Review, Spokane, Wash. Feb. 18--North Idaho College has started a women's club golf team. NIC athletic trainer Randy Boswell, who teaches beginning golf at the college, is coaching the team, which will play in two tournaments this spring.

The PGA Grand Slam of golf will return to Kauai this year on Nov. 21-22, the tour said Friday. The 36-hole event featuring the winners of the year's four majors has been played at Poipu Bay golf Course since 1994. Last year, Tiger Woods won a record sixth title, defeating Phil Mickelson, Michael Campbell and Vijay Singh.
