- 'City Golf Courses Set to Open (Fort Wayne News Channel 15)
The Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce that the City golf courses will kick off a new season on March 13, 2006. The clubhouses at McMillen, Shoaff, and Foster will be open for business, but the courses will be evaluated on a daily basis for play depending upon the current weather conditions.

The second tournament in the Farmers Cup Adult-Junior golf Series will be played Sunday at Mountain Falls. Hosted by the Pahrump Valley Junior golf Association, subsequent tournaments will be played April 9 and May 7.

Lorraine Ballerano shot one over par in the first round of the Lady Gamecock Classic to lead the NC State women's golf team Friday at South Carolina's par 72 University Course. Ballerano is tied for third place and the Wolfpack is tied for sixth at 17 over.
